International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia

Today is May 17th, which is also International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. The day pretty much speaks for itself! It is a day set aside to raise awareness of the LGBT community, their rights, and the violations against them.

We must stand up for the rights of all people, including the LGBT community because we are apart of this world just like everyone else. Just as we need with many other issues in this world, we must start a dialogue to bring about even greater solutions.

I challenge you on this day to attend a LGBT event, watch an LGBT movie, post some LGBT positivity! Yes, of course my LGBT brothers and sisters are being challenged but I’m really talking to the heterosexuals out there with hearts as cold as ice!

There is a song that says, “you better be careful what you say to me, cause it might turn around on you. You better be careful what you do to me, cause somebody might do it to you”, and if not you, some of you have yet to have kids and grandkids, and great grandkids. You don;t know whether they will be like us or you. How would you want them treated and seen in others eyes?

Something to think about, and I don’t know why you don’t.

Peace and Blessings!
