Good evening everyone!
So I was sitting here at work and just doing some reading when I realized that I neglected to give a huge shout out to a very important religious figure, the Pope!
Pope Francis, recently question about his views on homosexuality, specifically when it comes to the church and preist in the church, stated that he has no issues with the choice of lifestyle. When asked the very delicate question as to how he would feel about a cleric in his rank being gay, he responded, “Who am I to judge a gay person of goodwill who seeks the Lord?”
Now I would like to say that this is huge for the Catholic community because before him, homosexuality was seen as a sense of confusion and an abomination. In fact, the pope just before Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI formally barred men with what the Vatican deemed “deep-seated” homosexuality from entering the priesthood. I then saw that an admirer of the pope states that his papacy feels the same way he does when it comes to the subject matter!
The world is coming a long way from where it was just a short year ago and I want us to take advantage of it because there can only be great things that comes from coalition of any kind. We must keep breaking barriers and overcoming the challenges to achieve outcomes like this!
Stay strong people! Peace and Blessings!
